DESCRIPTION

Grammy-winning art-rockers OK Go's bookishly ambitious third album, 2010's Of the Blue Colour of the Sky, is now on maroon splatter vinyl... exclusively from Bandbox!

This is only the second time on colored wax for the Top 40 LP, which was inspired by an 1876 pseudoscience tome and saw OK Go expand their infectious power-pop into more psychedelic sonic spaces. Meanwhile, the infamous viral video for lead single "This Too Shall Pass," a mind-blowing clip that made use of a Rube Goldberg machine to ultimately splatter the quartet with paint (as featured on the cover of Bandbox's OK Go fanzine), has racked up over 70 million views on YouTube.

“There’s nothing more boring than making the same record over and over,” singer/guitarist Damian Kulash told Billboard upon the album's release. "[Of the Blue...] is more melancholic, and I love it. I’m so much more proud of it than anything before."

The OK Go issue of Bandbox's signature zine features exclusive interviews with the group, rare photos from the era and much more. It accompanies all copies of the Bandbox edition of Of the Blue Colour of the Sky, which is available now at bandboxrocks.com for the one-time purchase price of $39.99.
