Johnny Cash - Now Here's Johnny Cash (Bandbox Exclusive Pink + White Swirl Vinyl)

'Now Here's Johnny Cash' was released in mid-1961, following Cash's departure from Sun Records to the major label financial appeal of Columbia Records. This catch-all compilation was one last chance for Sun to *ahem* cash in on one of their most successful and marketable musicians after he left the label. But rather than being a clear money-grab by Sun, 'Now Here's Johnny Cash' is a wonderful collection of songs, most notably Johnny's beloved first single for Sun Records, 'Cry Cry Cry,' as well as a tender rendition of the Don Gibson hit, 'Oh Lonesome Me.' Cash's cover was a run-away success as well, reaching #13 on the country singles chart and even cracking the Hot 100 pop singles chart at #93. Bandbox is excited to offer an exclusive vinyl version of this fantastic compilation of Johnny Cash classics on a stunning "Pink + White Swirl" color variant, recorded in vintage mono sound. Our edition of 'Now Here's Johnny Cash' also comes with a 16-page zine dedicated to The Man In Black, featuring a series of thoughtful essays about Cash's career, his songs, and his legacy, as well as stunning photographs of Cash from throughout his legendary life.
